An Update From Coach Shannon

Hello Volleyball Families,

It is with great sadness to share that I will be stepping down from the volleyball program at the conclusion of the 23-24 fall season. Volleyball has always been one of my biggest passions, and working with the athletes in our program has been nothing short of a dream. I have said it many times, but we have the kindest, hardest working, and most supportive athletes within our program. These girls derive from kind, hard working, and supportive families. I am now at a point in my life where I must put my own family first, and be the same support to my son that I see in all of the parents within our program. Volleyball will always be a bucket filler for me. However, I cannot give our program as much as I have been able to in years past. My family is the most important thing in my life, and I don’t want to miss a moment in such formative years. With this new chapter, I hope to still have the opportunity to step into the gym and help where I am needed, even if the role looks different than coaching.

Thank you for granting me the opportunity to step into this role five years ago. With bright eyes and limited knowledge on the foundation of a strong program, I have learned and grown more than I could have anticipated. This program has taught me the importance of consistency in your actions, words, and treatment of others, and I hope that is something you can all continue to act on each day. It has also taught me the value of communication and collaboration. During my years in the program, you all have supported me and welcomed me into your lives, and I couldn’t be more grateful. The relationships we have built will be everlasting, and I cannot see what the future holds for all of you.

Do not hesitate to reach out with questions. I will miss you all in the 24-25 season.

Thank you,
-Shannon Jensen

Our coaching staff wishes Coach Shannon the best in this new chapter for her family. We will miss her tremendously, and cannot thank her enough for her tremendous contribution to our program. She has consistently gone above and beyond her job description, serving our teams and our athletes with her whole heart. CLVB will not be the same without her!
